Wall Street follows the rise and fall of aspiring big time Stock Player, Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) whom persists to meet with and trade for Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas).
Gekko eventually takes Fox under his wing, after Fox had revealed inside information about his father's (Martin Sheen) Airline company. Gekko uses the information to make a nice profit.
Gekko is hungry for more information, this is how he survives - on inside information. Bud Fox must decide if he wants to "be a player".
Gekko represents Greed and fast money, the quick buck "Greed, for the want of a better word, is Good!" hey says.
Fox's father represents old fashioned hard work, and ethical values. Fox is embattled between the two role models, and between the sexy Darian (Darryl Hannah).
